About Us - One of a Kind Canes

Born Demetris Antoine Butler in Gretna, LA., on September 25, 1977. He graduated from
Istrouma High School in 1997 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corp
where he served honorably for four years.

His current occupation is artist and construction worker. His favorite foods are
seafood and watermelon. His favorite color is blue.

His hobbies include collecting baseball cards, gardening, and carving. Demetris
has been happily married since 2005 to Shawnda Renee Hollins-Butler who graduated
from McKinley Senior High School and Southern University A&M College where she received
a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, currently working on a MBA.

The couple reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with their two wonderful dogs.

Demetris has been carving since March 2007. His business consists of walking canes,
walking sticks, staves (staffs) and collector sticks. The wood he uses includes cedar,
oak, hackberry, mulberry, sweet dove, as well as recycled foundling wood left from
hurricanes and storms.
